Set a budget
Only spend what you can comfortably afford. Treat entries as paid entertainment, not as an investment.
Free entry route
A free postal entry route is available for every competition. See our Free entry page (thedailycomps.com/free-entry) for the address and what to write on your postcard.
Take a break: self-exclusion
If you want time away, you can self-exclude from your account page (Profile, then Take a break). Choose 6 months, 1 year or 5 years. Your break starts straight away and cannot be lifted or shortened until it ends. While it is active you cannot enter competitions (paid or by free postal entry), play Instant Win games, pledge on our Donate page or buy anything, and any Members Club membership is cancelled. It also applies if you delete your account and join again with the same email address. Entries you already hold stay valid, and you can still sign in to see them and any prizes you have won. If you would like help setting it up, contact us and we will do it for you.
Closing your account
Separately from a break, you can delete your account yourself at any time from your account page (Profile, then Delete your account). Deleting your account is permanent and does not end a self-exclusion.
